Online shop terms
Everything you need to know when purchasing art online, including our shipping and returns policies.
Colour
Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of images on the website, although it cannot be guaranteed that the colours and appearance of artwork will be identical to the original.
Dimensions
Image sizes given are approximate image sizes, height x width in inches.
Availability
Availability of the artworks displayed on the website is not guaranteed. If artworks ordered online are unavailable, you will notified as soon as possible.
Framing
Framing is not included in the price unless where stated.
VAT
Where applicable, VAT is included in all prices.
Prices and payment
Prices quoted throughout the website are in Pounds Sterling, and payment can only be accepted in Pounds Sterling. Packing and delivery costs will be added to the total price of your purchase. Your payment card will be debited for your order on the day of ordering.
Copyright
Rights to the image remain with the artist or the estate of the artist. The purchase of an artwork does not confer the right or licence to use the image for commercial or any other purposes.
Risk
Risk in the goods passes on collection or on delivery of the goods to the address stated in your order.
Title to the goods
Title will pass to you only when full payment has been made for them.
Ordering online
By completing and submitting an electronic order form, you are making an offer to purchase artwork, which if accepted by Cordell Garfield, will result in a binding contract.
Orders will only be despatched or ready for collection, once authorisation from your payment card issuer is received. An order will not be accepted if payment is not authorised. Stripe is used as the payment gateway, offering the highest level of security.
After a purchase has been made:
An email will be sent to you to acknowledge your order.
When your purchase has been despatched a confirmation email will be sent to you. This email will constitute a formal acceptance.
Acceptance of your order and the completion of the contract between you and Cordell Garfield will take place on despatch to you of the artworks ordered, unless you have been notified that the artwork is not available.
Alternative payment methods
On occasions where purchases are made outside of the website’s online payment processing platform, payments can be made via a bank transfer made payable to Cordell Garfield. You will need to contact us to arrange this. All payments must be made in Pounds Sterling, and in accordance with terms and conditions, goods will only be collected/despatched once payment in full has been received.
Collection or delivery of work
For standard deliveries the stated delivery charge to UK addresses includes postage and packaging.
All items will be delivered by the Post Office on tracked and recorded delivery terms or by a reputable express courier company. The aim is to deliver to UK addresses in up to 5 working days.
Alternatively, you may collect your purchase from the Northampton studio at no extra cost.
Occasionally, you can request Cordell Garfield personally to deliver it to you. Deliveries usually apply if you reside within the county of Northamptonshire or a commutable distance from Northampton. Goods can only be collected/despatched after payment in full has been received.
Returns
If for any reason your purchase is damaged, you may return it with the receipt to Cordell Garfield for a full refund (excluding shipping costs) on the following conditions:
You must contact Cordell Garfield advising of its return within 14 days of your order's arrival with you. You can do this by e-mailing cordellgarfield10@gmail.com or by calling +44 (0)7944 395792. A returns address will be provided by Cordell Garfield.
Artwork must be returned in its original packing to Cordell Garfield.
It must be received back by Cordell Garfield within 14 days of the artwork’s arrival with you.
Provided the above conditions have been met, Cordell Garfield will arrange for a full refund of the costs of the artwork to you. You will not be refunded the delivery costs and you must pay for shipping the work back to Cordell Garfield and insurance of the work during transit to Cordell Garfield. A refund will not be made until the work has been returned to Cordell Garfield.
